this is a sonny moore appreciation page. i love his work during his bells/gypsyhook/sonny and the blood monkeys years and this page can serve as an archive for this enigmatic era i guess. i wouldnt consider myself a skrillex fan.

what is bells? - bells is sonny moore's unreleased debut album as a solo artist after his departure from post-hardcore band from first to last. initially intended to be released in 2008, was then rescheduled for a 2009 release before being ultimately cancelled by atlantic records. it is speculated that atlantic was dissatisfied with the overall sound of bells, and this, in combination with the 2009 gypsyhook ep's low sales and poor critical reception led to the entire project being shelved. as far as i know, an early version of bells was in circulation in late 2007, being sold at sonny's shows for 10$. the demo cds were in light blue envelopes, which featured handdrawn art done by moore himself, and the music was credited to sonny and the blood monkeys (moore's touring band at the time). the final tracklist of bells is unknown, with multiple versions of each track existing. what is also known is that a number of tracks (lustbug/oceans/turmoil/father said) were uploaded on his myspace (his username was sonnysound i think) which were intended to be featured in a second solo album.
